We, Dinah Münchow and Stephan Liskowsky, met at a film seminar at the Leipzig Academy of Fine Arts (HGB). Since then, we have been working together as a duo. Our fields of work—directing and writing (Stephan Liskowsky), as well as cinematography and editing (Dinah Münchow)—overlap.
We are currently preproducing our feature documentary debut THE SCHOOL OF MAGICAL SOUNDS with the support of Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung. The renowned film distributor Neue Visionen plans to bring it to cinemas. GIRLS ON FIRE, our current children’s film project, has been selected by the initiative Der Besondere Kinderfilm. In addition, we are developing the series MY INSTRUMENT for ARD Kultur.
We have now realized more than 40 documentaries and artistic documentary films. With our debut film FAHRLAND, we won numerous short film festivals: including the Jury Prize at Kurzsüchtig Leipzig, the audience award at Shortmoves Halle, and a nomination for the German Nachwuchsfilmpreis up-and-coming in Hanover. Our films BEHIND THE RED LINE and BELA DOES JUDO premiered at the International Film Festival DOK Leipzig. Our children’s short film KÄTE PLAYS FOOTBALL was nominated for the Grimme Prize as part of the series I AM ME.
We live and work in Leipzig with our three children and our family dog.
